Papers and Canvas
The Finishing Touch Gallery carry a variety of papers, dependent on the Artists requirements.
Giclee Prints; is a term for fine art digital prints made on inkjet printers and is typically used in reference to high-quality prints. The term was frazed by an American printmaker Mr J. Duganne in 1991 and describes the way the ink is applied to paper during the printing process. In French, the term literally means “to spurt” or “to squirt”. If you chose to print on archival paper, it could be called an archival print. You would then use the Watercolour paper.
Watercolour Papers;
For example, if the Artist wants to reproduce a watercolour original as Limited Edition print, we would recommend Canson Watercolour Paper – Aquarelle Rag. The reason being, the end result will be an accurate copy of the original.
Metallic Pearl Paper;
If vivid colours, say a seascape photograph, is required to be reproduced, Metallic Pearl paper would be suggested, making the colours vibrant.
Canvas;
If the Artist has a stretched canvas image that is needed to be reproduced, printed on canvas would be a great way to go.
We can show examples of the different papers and canvas to the Artist and our recommendations. At the end, the Artist will make a well informed decision.
Photographic Satin Paper;
This paper is an everyday satin finish paper, widely used for photographic artwork and the likes.
Amazing Results are prooduced – our papers, together with our archival inks, produce the most stunning reproductions. The reproductions are sharp, colours are brilliant and contrast is just amazing. The metallic pearl photo paper even gives out a 3D look and feel.
